The Dark Knight Returns by thousandfoldart The Dark Knight Returns by thousandfoldart
Thought it was about time I posted something again. This file's been collecting dust and needed to get finished!
The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller was one of those comics that re-awakened my interests in comics as an adult and was a gateway into many graphic novels and comics beyond it.
More than anything here I wanted to draw an old, gruff Batman using Clint Eastwood's face for reference... and lets face it, Robin should have always been a chick!
Made a tutorial of sorts for this one you can check it out HERE [link] ... just cause a few of you asked.

I'll be quick to  remind everyone here that Carrie Kelly is underage, Batman is in his 60's, and the sexual nature of this is really fucking creepy.

THIS! 500 TIMES! I especially love how you portrayed The Mutants and The Sons of Batman.

Great job. What'd you think of the animated features?

I haven't seen it yet...
Part of me doesn't want to replace the memory of this comic with an animated movie– even it if is quite good.
But is it worth it? Do you recommend it? I am still very curious.

Totally worth it. Trust me; your memories won't be tainted. It's just as exciting, dark and sometimes horrifying as the book.
